Five Card Omaha Hi/Lo Split

I dealt mostly cash games last night, as both times I pushed into the main event tournament area, my table was broken during my down and I got redirected back to cash. Fine with me, I sort of needed the money now, rather than later, and we keep our own tips in the cash games. Tournament tip share is paid at the end of the entire series.

The best table was a big Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) game that was breaking up due to lack of players when a few left for dinner breaks. During the interim, the floor person instructed me to deal whatever they wanted, without rake, until players returned or a viable PLO game resumed. So, the button called the games, and it had a real home game feel. Most of the hands were $10-50 spread limit five card Omaha hi/lo split, with $10/25 blinds and a restriction on pre-flop raises. There was a lot of table chatter and tongue-in-cheek sneaky play, but they never let the pots get too big. They took care of me quite well too. Most of the rest of the night was $2-5 PLO, $25-50 limit 2-7 triple draw, and $5-10 NL holdem. I did get in one down of $25-50 Stud 8, and a very nice down of $15/30 limit holdem (with strong tokes).

At one of the tables I dealt to Bret Jungblutt, who plays online under the pseudonym 'gank', and is well known for being part of 'The Crew', a group of young, very successful online pros who have had some tournament success. I have seen his comrade Dutch Boyd in the poker room and presume that Scott Fischman will be here later as well.
